The Bravo Residence

We are currently working to capitalize the Foundation that will fund the Bravo Residence.

Vision

We want to buy an extended stay hotel, shut it down, convert it to apartments for adults with ASD. We’ll cover the basic living expenses of the individuals who live here.

Why A Residential Community?

The Bravo Residence will provide a much needed living option for autistic adults living in or near Atlanta. Since a majority of these individuals are unable to support themselves we created a model with business partnerships that provide the necessary funding. We work to minimize reliance on donations to operate the residence so that fluctuations in charitable giving do not impact the livelihood of the residents.

Daily Support

Residents who require everyday support are assigned two rooms. One is their private living space. The other is available for their support team to store supplies, plan and otherwise function with reduced intrusion into into the residential living space.

Weekly Support

Here is an example floor plan for residents who require weekly support. It pairs a suite with kitchenette and a single bed guest room. It’s possible that the property would have adjoining rooms, but this would be an optional feature for the adult requiring only weekly support.

24/7 Support

This is an example 24/7 support floor plan pairing two suites with kitchenettes. In this scenario the rooms would be connected with a direct door. Typically hotels have two doors on a single frame, but one would be removed and stored to prevent the resident from locking the caregiver out.

Others are working on both similar and distinct solutions across the special needs community. The Residence provides another pillar to support these individuals. By doing so we improve the lives of the loved ones and caregivers who have focused their time and attention supporting those with special needs.

Resident Applications

The Bravo House will serve adults ages 21 and older with a history and diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder. Our focus is on those who require weekly, daily, and 24 hour support. We will be accepting applications as we approach the opening of the property.

  • Availability is based on the layout of the property that is selected. Our formal application process has not opened at this time. As we get closing to funding and selecting a property we will open a waitlist and begin reviewing applications.

  • We are excited that you want to build a residence in your community! Our model is publicly available on Github under the Creative Commons License.
