Introducing the Lakshmi Autism Foundation

24 March 2021

Our son was born in 2008. Within six months my wife picked up on something different about his behavior. In 2010 he was screened for autism and presented with symptoms. By 2012 he was diagnosed and meeting with therapists regularly. By 2014 it was clear that his overall progress would not be enough to keep him with typical kids in public school. By 2016 it was clear his behavior would not be compatible with any kids in public school. By 2018 it was clear his overall development would not let him live an independent life.

  1. It’s 2020 now and working from home has given me back a few hours per day that I would have otherwise spent commuting to work. I’m taking that time to launch my vision for what might give him the opportunity to live independently with a loving community and a great life, even after we’re gone.

  2. Welcome to the Lakshmi Autism Foundation, Incorporated.
